Hi I'm Traeson

I grew up as a member in the Seattle area. I have been called to serve in the Zimbabwe Harare Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the Faith, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Growing up in a home where there was so much focus on strong family values and love has shaped me into who I am. I should also mention that I am the youngest of the five children in my family. Those of you who are also the youngest in a large family will understand why I must mention that fact. I have always enjoyed growing up in suburbs and going to public school where I can meet many new people. I have been very actively involved with sports since I was about 4 years old. My passion will always be soccer, however I also love to play tennis, basketball, golf, ping pong, racquetball, volleyball, pretty much anything with a net, I guess. In High School I only played soccer and tennis competitively. My senior year I was chosen by my peers to be captain or co-captain, of the Varsity squads. I graduated from High School in 2012 and have been working for a year to save up for my Mission. And now I am preparing mentally, physically, and spiritually for when I leave.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending this church. However, that does not change the fact that I have individually chosen to continue to be involved with it. No individual member of the church can simply rely on the faith of others and feel the same peace and happiness that you would if you have gained a testimony for yourself. Sure, our leaders may have the ability to lead and guide us and help us obey Heavenly Father's will, but they cannot be relied upon for actual understanding of the knowledge and truths that coincide with the belief in this church. I have my own valiant testimony in the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that we are all children of our Beloved Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ, his Only Begotten Son, suffered for all the sins of mankind, so that justice can be served through the punishment of sin, and still mercy can be found for those that repent of them. I know that Joseph Smith was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and that he was called upon to establish the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I leave these things with you, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been attending church with other young single adults for over a year now. I have been called by my leaders to assist in Missionary work in the ward. I have also been called a a teacher, where roughly once a month I teach my fellow Brethren Gospel principles. This has been a huge blessing in my life. Ever since being called for this assignment, I have striven more diligently to keep the Spirit of the Lord with me, so that I can more effectively teach.
