Hi I'm Anna Marie

I love long walks on the beach, I love being happy, I love laughing, I love LIVING, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just happy to be alive. I enjoy finding the beauty in everyday things. I'm a sucker for a good book, a rainy day with hot chocolate, the sunset, starry nights, a good lightning storm, and walking along the beach. Typical woman, I know. I'm not very athletic, unfortunately I wasn't blessed in that area, but I enjoy exploring this beautiful world. Hiking is one of my favorite activities. Mountains are my favorite place to ponder and make life decisions, they are STUNNING. I am a sister to 10, an aunt to 15 and a friend to many. Family is EVERYTHING to me. They are my best friends, which might sound pathetic, I know, but I love it! My main goal in life is to make people happy, whether by being their friend, or simply through being an example. I either want to be an Elementary School teacher or a Pastry Chef when I "grow up", except sometimes I think that I never will. I love being young and experiencing the many wonderful things that God has given us to enjoy. I LOVE learning new things, in any way possible. Through school, from my parents, from friends and family, through attending church, and sometimes even through watching TV! The last one's tacky I know, but I've learned how to bake a plethora of goodies by watching the Food Network, which let's be honest, will help me make and keep friends my whole life. Oh, and one last thing, I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with ALL my heart. It brings me happiness and joy beyond compare. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to be happy. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives purpose and meaning to my life. I am a Mormon, because everything that I have learned about this Gospel, has brought me so much happiness, has broadened my view of life, and has changed my perspective and outlook, and deepened my love for those around me. When I was 15 my father passed away. He battled cancer for nine months before sweet rest overtook him. After he passed away, I went through somewhat of a dark period. I was very depressed, and spent most days in my bedroom, lying on my bed in the fetal position, crying uncontrollably, occasionally screaming out in pain. My heart hurt. After a few months of torture, I finally decided that that was NOT how I wanted to live. I wanted to be happy. So, I found happiness. I found happiness in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He became my best friend. I prayed that my Father in Heaven would help me not only overcome this terrible trial, but have it make me a better person. And he surely has. I enveloped myself deeply in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and followed all the guidelines as closely as I could. I could feel myself becoming happy again. Indeed, I was lost, but I found myself again in the Savior and in this Gospel. I am a Mormon, because I want to be with my family, FOREVER. Through darkness and pain, this Gospel is my light and my joy. It gave me my most valued gift, the gift of eternal families. I know that I will live with my daddy again some day, and I know that it is through and by the Savior, Jesus Christ that that is possible. I will forever be indebted to him. I am a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven, and I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to live my life in a way that is pleasing to them. I know that one day I will be able to look upon their loving faces again, and dwell with them in eternal, in never-ending peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend to everyone I come in contact with. I know that everyone I meet, is a son or daughter of God, and should be treated as such. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. So I try to live my life in accordance with that teaching. That means, first of all, that I am happy. Because I know, that to God, I am unbelievably precious and He cares specifically about me, and knows what I am going through, what I need help with, and that I have glorious potential. Then, when I am happy, it is easier for the people I come in contact with to be happy too, because they see my light and sense my enthusiasm. Knowing that we are all equal and God loves EACH of us perfectly, it is easier for me to treat people the way they deserve to be treated. With kindness and love. I live my faith by serving others. I enjoy finding opportunities to help someone in need, giving service brings me more happiness and fulfillment than anything else. The fact that I can help someone who needs me, gives me purpose and makes me feel worthwhile. I live my faith by being happy. God wants us to be happy and enjoy life. I am happy because I know, that he gave us His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we could repent and be worthy to return to live with Him some day. That makes me unbelievably happy. I live my faith by attending church meetings every Sunday, and by studying the Book of Mormon everyday. The Book of Mormon truly is the word of God, and I have had many of my questions answered through the pages of that divinely inspired book. I live my faith by trying to be the best that I can be. By trying to live up to my full potential, which potential is limitless. I strive everyday to learn and grow, and to become better than the person I was yesterday. I live my faith by inviting other people to enjoy the happiness that I enjoy, and by telling others, through word and example, how truly wonderful this Gospel is.
