Hi I'm Troy Dunbar!

I'm from Zillah, WA. I'm engaged, I'm a serious tennis player & LeBron James fan, I kill bugs for a living, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being raised by parents who have strong faith in Christ has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I learned from a very young age how to live a life that has a real purpose. Besides church related things: I love playing & watching sports, running/lifting, hiking, hunting, skiing, and being artistic.

Why I am a Mormon

Most people would think that because I was raised in a Mormon family, that im destined to be a Mormon forever. There's a lot more to it than that. There comes a time in every member's life when he or she is compelled to actually find out if it's all true. When I was 15, my family and I read the Book of Mormon together. When we finished, my parents invited me to pray to God and ask Him whether or not it was true. I really, really wanted to know for myself, instead of just blindly believing everything I had been taught. Up to that point, I had never before said such a sincere and meaningful prayer... I asked God a simple question, "Is the Book of Mormon true?,"... As i knelt on my bed, I had one of the most miraculous experiences I have ever had. An overwhelming feeling of peace, love, and assurance rushed over me. I couldn't help but cry. I KNEW, right then, that everything that had ever been taught to me about Christ and the Book of Mormon was true. Everything my parents ever taught, it was all true! Since that experience, I have had many more spiritual confirmations, answered prayers, and way too many blessings to ever deny my beliefs. I want everyone to experience what I have experienced. All you need to do is study, and ask God.

How I live my faith

I am far from perfect, but I try to live my faith in such a way so that all who know me will have nothing but positive things to say about me. I make plenty of mistakes but i strive to live as closely to all of God's standards as I can, and I have seen the huge difference that it has made in my life; not only am I happier when I choose to do what's right, but I also find myself sharing that happiness with others.
