Hi I'm Joy

I grew up in Idaho, married and moved to Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I currently work as a school secretary. I enjoy sewing quilts and during the summer months being in the great outdoors. I enjoy organizing family activities and sharing time with extended family members.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active Mormon family and their faith was very important to them. My parents attended church and helped me see the importance of attending as well. Through their example I learned that prayer was a very important part of life. I know that I have a Heavenly Father that knows me and loves me. He has answered my prayers many times. I know there is peace and comfort that comes from Jesus Christ and in living the commandments that He established. I know that through the commitments we make we can live as a forever family after we leave this mortal existence. I know that we have living prophets on the earth today that give us guidance and direction as well as warnings. I know that they receive direction from the Lord. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the words of God and are important in my life. I know that happiness comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Through my life I have been involved with the PTA and Booster club associated with the schools my children attended. I have often visited with women in our neighborhood and we have shared faith promoting experiences together. Music has always been apart of my life. As a young girl I took piano lessons, but it was later in life when I realized how important it was to practice and share that talent with others. I love to hear children sing! I have worked with teen-agers in gaining camping skills, setting goals and developing their talents.
