Hi I'm Ashton Davis

I'm an EMT, a brother, a son, a missionary and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I live for music. I love to play the saxophone and ukulele, and always have a song in my mind and heart, and most of the time on my lips. I enjoy the many worlds and knowledge that you can explore by simply opening the pages of a book and prefer that to any movie. My favorite sport is lacrosse and in my opinion the best way to experience nature is on a mountain bike with the wind in your face. The miracle of the human body never ceases to amaze me and I enjoy studying medicine. I am a certified emergency medical technician in the state of California and plan on continuing my studies in human biology when I return from New Zealand.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two wonderful parents who are Mormon and have grown up with the teachings of Christ all my life. I love Him and I know that He loves me unconditionally. I have read the Book of Mormon and have felt the accompaniment of the Holy Spirit as I learn of and live the simple truths that are contained within its pages.Through personal study and experience I have gained for myself a knowledge that God made a plan for us all so that our mistakes can be overcome and we can return to live with Him in His perfect glory. This knowledge has helped to put things in my life into perspective and has brought me peace and contentment. I know that no matter how bad things get while here on Earth, I will always have a Father in Heaven who cares for me and that everything will work out in the end.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the same way many others live theirs, by trying to be the best that I can. I love to read from the scriptures and learn from the teachings of Christ. I go to church every week to teach the young men and learn from others experiences and share in their love. I try to remind myself that I am a follower of Christ at ALL times, and this helps to guide my actions. Regardless of this I still make mistakes and am so grateful for the Atonement of our Lord and Saviour so that I can be made clean. I am currently serving as a missionary in the New Zealand, Wellington Mission so that others can know this same beautiful truth.
