Hi I'm Stacey

I'm married and have two kids. I'm almost an architect. I believe in Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Midwest, studied architecture in college, and have lived in various locations around the United States. I love to spend time with my family, living near the beach and taking pictures. I'm also a mom to two kids: a son who has autism and a typically developing little girl.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. As I pray, study the scriptures and listen to the prophets voice I feel the confirmation of the Holy Ghost that it is true. As I council with the Lord in my personal prayers I know He knows me, cares about me and wants to help me. It is only through His Grace that I am able to overcome personal obstacles and come out a better person. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ help me every day of my life. As I put my faith and trust in Them I know that I can overcome anything. I know God lives and loves me. I know Jesus Christ is my brother, friend and Redeemer. I am grateful beyond words for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and what that means in my life. I am thankful for the gift and power of the Holy Ghost. I am thankful for the scriptures and for living prophets today to help us in this life. I am thankful for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help me understand the purpose of life and how to get back to Heavenly Father. I know these things are true because the Savior has testified of them to me through the Holy Ghost. My beliefs inspire me everyday to try my best to follow the Lord. They inspire me to repent when I make mistakes. They inspire me to try again and put my faith in Christ because He is the Savior of the world and He knows me.

How I live my faith

Since having kids I've realized the importance of teaching them about Jesus Christ. There is no greater example of how we should treat others. I often feel inspired to mention a part of my testimony to them so that they know how important He is in my life. At church I teach the 16 and 17 year old young women. These girls are smart! I have felt a huge desire to help them gain their own testimony of the Savior as they prepare to leave home and go to college. I have found that as I study and pray about the lesson materials that my faith in the gospel increases. As my faith grows, I have a desire to change my actions to be more in line with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is then that I am able to clearly see how the gospel influences my life. As a mother, a teacher and a disciple of Christ, I try to share with others what I know to be true.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Stacey
I absolutely believe there are prophets alive today! I am so thankful for the love of the Lord to give us prophets to help guide us today. There is so much confusion and so many mixed messages in the world. I know as I listen to the words of the prophets that I will be lead in the right direction. I know the prophets of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true prophets and men of God because the Holy Ghost testifies of their words to me. Show more Show less
