Hi I'm Daniel Morrin

I live in Idaho. I love to road and mountain bike. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love being outdoors and participating in sports. I love nature and the beauty of it. I am an avid road biker. I am planning on attending college after serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have lived in in five different states that have allowed me to meet diverse groups of people. And have taught me to appreciate different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for a fact that this church is true and I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that I want to be one. After reading the Book of Mormon I wanted to know for myself if it was true as it says in James 1:5. I continue to follow the gospel because it is a part of me and this makes me up. I learn something new everyday, and it is the highlight of my day! There is no other feeling of having the spirit be with you and especially knowing that what you are being taught is true. Just the fact of knowing how much the church has gone through in its history to be where it is now is incredible. A huge faith builder when you think of all the persecutions the pioneers went through and also prophets of old. It is so incredible for me to know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins so that I can repent and continue to improve. This has been such a strength to me during my life to know that while I am not perfect Christ has given me a way to repent and be clean. The gospel has brought so much joy to my life by giving me a purpose in life and helping guide me back to my Heavenly Father some day. I love my family and am so glad that I will be able to be with them forever through the sealing power of the temple. This is an important part of the church and it is why so much emphasis is put on the family due to the power that can be found in family units. I am so grateful for the things I have been taught and the knowledge I have in my life to know of my purpose. The gospel is such a powerful part of my life and I can't think of any better thing to have in my life.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in my meetings and go above and beyond my responsibilities. I listen to the promptings of the prophets and follow what we have been taught by latter day prophets. I am very grateful for the establishment of seminary and that we are able to be taught outside of just church on Sunday. I actively participate and go to mission prep preparing to be able to go on a full time mission some day. I don't just read my scriptures, but I also internalize them and live them trying to set an example to those people that need it. I find happiness in being able to also teach gospel principles and the joy it can bring to people looking for the gospel in their lives.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Daniel Morrin
Mormons do not only help Mormons. We actually have a huge humanitarian effort that helps a lot of countries in which the church is not as big there. A lot of the service that is done is to people that are not part of the gospel, but it does not matter what religion they are part of we still help them. Another way we help is by missionaries. There are young men and women that spend time on a mission teaching solely people who are not of our faith and often do service to them also. If you watch someone part of the church you will soon realize this. Show more Show less
