Hi I'm Madison Smoot

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. Everyones mormon and so am i.

About Me

I'm your average 14 year old mormon girl. My parents were both born into the church, as i am. I have a older sister, two younger brothers and am an avid soccer player. Both of my best friends that i've grown up with have left the church and believe me when i say that it gives you so many things to think about. It shakes your world when you are alone with the people that have gone through so much with you. I still have my small trials with them but nothing will ever be able to shake my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because i know it to be true. There is no doubt in my mind that God loves me and knows me by name. He knows my struggles and he helps me through them. I know the scriptures were written by a true prophet. I know that the scriptures were written for us, during this troubling time when the bad choices become the more common choices. I know that I am never stronger then when I am on my knees praying to my Heavenly Father. I know that he hears and answers my prayers in any way that he can when i do my part. I love this gospel, it has helped me too much in my life to over look the truthfulness of the words spoken by our prophet Thomas S. Monson and his apostles. "I am a Mormon. I know it, i live it, i love it." -Sis. Dalton

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to seminary every day. In Utah it's a class you can take in school, so it's a little bit easier to put it into my life. But reading the scriptures in class and having that time during my busy school day to relax and forget about all my problems is the part i look forward too every time i walk into school. I also live my faith by doing my best in keeping the commandments and try to be known as the girl who will always choose the right. It's not an easy choice. So many times I've been not invited to places because they know I wouldn't be ok with the things they were doing. Over time i've found friends who don't do those sorts of things and who have the same standards as me who i can trust won't tempt me to do bad. I try to fill my life with only what's acceptable by the Lord. That is how i live my faith.
