Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in North Carolina. I like turtles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I'm a straight-A student in high school. I like reading, turtles are my favorite animal, and I really enjoy my Latin class at school. I'm also a brony, or a pegasister if you prefer (that's a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic). Then, of course, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of this church. When I was younger, I really went because my parents both have strong testimonies of the Gospel and took us every week. But, as I got older, I wanted to know whether or not it was true for myself and receive a testimony of my own. When I was 13, I read the Book of Mormon. After I had read through and pondered about the book, I prayed asking if it was true. I had never felt as happy in my life as I did at that time on my knees. It was this overwhelming, beautiful warmth that filled my body and spirit. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Ever since then, I have been working on following the Lord's commandments and being the best I can be, and it hasn't steered me wrong. It will never steer me wrong. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I attend church every Sunday, go to youth activities every week, and I attend Seminary (a class provided before school for high schoolers). I'm so grateful to have so many opportunities every week to worship our Savior and learn about the Gospel.
