Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in North Carolina. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am a college student at BYU-Idaho. My major is English, and I am working toward a certificate in CIT. I love spending time with my friends and family. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my whole life, and I love it so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of this church. When I was younger, I really went because my parents both have strong testimonies of the Gospel and took us every week. As I got older, I wanted to know whether or not it was true for myself and receive a testimony of my own. When I was 13, I read the Book of Mormon. After I had read through and pondered about the book, I prayed asking if it was true. I had never felt as happy in my life as I did at that time on my knees. It was this overwhelming, beautiful warmth that filled my body and spirit. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Ever since then, I have been working on following the Lord's commandments and being the best I can be, and it hasn't steered me wrong. It will never steer me wrong. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I attend church every Sunday and study the scriptures daily. I'm so grateful to have so many opportunities every week and every day to worship our Savior and learn about the Gospel.
