Hi I'm Davis Rice

I'm a Missionary in Norway, I love my family including my dog and snake, I have been in several fake bands, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am on my Mission in Norway, so I pretty much do a lot of missionary stuff right now, but in my Normal Life, I did some other stuff too. I was born and raised and might die in the little city of Ames, Iowa, from a family of two parents, a little sister and brother, a dog named Zeus and a snake named The Snake. When I was a little kid, my life was made of Legos and cartoons and peanut butter. It still is, to an extent. I've gotten Legos for every birthday and Christmas since I was five. I was in 6 different bands throughout high school (only two of them actually made music ever and one of those two wrote a song that is literally the worst song I've ever heard) so that was neat. I loved to read books but I was pretty bad at finishing them because my attention span was unfortunately kinda destroyed by the internet (it's gotten better since I've been on my Mission). I have tried to write a couple books too, one about zombies that made a friend of mine cry and one about a grocery store that made my Mom laugh along with a lot unfinished ones. I love to draw cartoons, mostly weird animals and things, and my dream job would be to run my own cartoon series or illustrate kids' books. That's unfortunately a hard job to get, let alone use to support my future family that I plan on existing, so I'll probably do something in Psychology too.

Why I am a Mormon

I have two awesome parents who have always kinda let their kids make judgments for themselves, so I could be totally inactive and stuff. But not too long ago I had an awesome experience with prayer, and now I know without a doubt that God loves me and that life is awesome when you know that. The things I've learned through being a member of this church, particularly the Plan of Salvation, makes life so much BIGGER and more exciting! There is so much out there! It is so cool to know that we have a living prophet, that we have the awesome Book of Mormon that answers pretty much all the important questions (and is a pretty good story as well), that God knows and loves us, and that all we have to do to know these things is sincerely pray about it. Everything is awesome.

How I live my faith

Well I'm on a mission right now which takes a lot of faith because it's terrifying to be so far away from anything I'm familiar with, but it is the most rewarding thing ever. I've seen people go from not believing in God to believing in Him since I've been out here, and if that's not the coolest thing, I don't know what is.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Nooo everyone on the planet is a child of God. We should help every single human there is if possible. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Davis Rice
I try to live according to what the Holy Ghost tells me to do. I'm not perfect at listening to him, so that's too bad, BUT when I do listen to the promptings and thoughts that come from Holy Ghost, I've noticed that it makes me happier and life better. Through doing this, I've developed a pretty good relationship with God, which has led me to pray tons of times every day. It's a good life. Show more Show less
