Hi I'm Lauren

I am a third grade teacher, a wife, and a mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to an incredible husband who is caring, kind, smart, and always serving. We live in downtown Salt Lake City where I am a teacher by profession. I like to spend my time outdoors when I'm not working, and I love the ocean and scuba dive whenever I have the chance. I am a hiker, climber, canyoneer, reader, and amateur photographer. I eat tasty food whenever I can, and I absolutely love and adore my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of the happiness and peace I have when I live according to the teachings of the church. I love that I am able to have a personal relationship with deity and receive guidance in everyday decisions. When I am praying and reading the Book of Mormon, I have a sense of purpose and direction in my life that nothing else is able to give me. Living according to the church's teachings does not mean I don't have to go through hard things, but rather when I do, I can be comforted by a Savior who knows me personally and loves me. It is because of this that I am able to be granted peace, and feel settled in even the most unsettling times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my church meetings, service activities, and visiting other women in need in my ward and community. As ward missionaries, my husband and I are able to teach classes in our ward about sharing and living the gospel every day. I live my faith by reading the words of the latter-day prophets, and studying principles in the Book of Mormon that help me become the person that my Father in Heaven has planned for me to become.
