Hi I'm Brent Yourglich

I grew up in Washington state. I'm going to serve a 2 year mission in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in love with music, and I'm always trying to find new bands to listen to. I play the drums, piano and guitar. I also love to play sports, specifically baseball and basketball. Any outdoor activity I'm sure I would participate. I love being outside, whether it's camping or boating or snowboarding. I've been accepted into BYU-I but am deferring until I get home from my mission. For my mission, I'll be serving in the Philippines Quezon City Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church from the age of 2, so I can basically say I've been a part of the church my whole life. Although I've been going to church for that long, my testimony has taken it's time growing. I'd always felt the spirit here and there, but it wouldn't seem to stay. As a senior in high school, I've seen my testimony grow right in front of me. As I read my scriptures and made sure to accompany that with prayer, I've felt the spirit stronger than ever before. I eagerly sought for opportunities to show my faith, and as I ask, the Lord delivers. I know that He loves me, I've felt His love grace not only my life but my family as well. I became a member because a seed was planted when I was 8 and I made the decision to be baptized. I'm a member now because, through faith, that seed has sprouted, into a strong testimony that Heavenly Father lives, and that He sent his son Jesus Christ to Earth, that He may atone for our sins and be resurrected so that we can return to Him. I know there is a living prophet on the Earth, and that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I know these things are true through the Holy Spirit's confirmation. I strive to live with these things in my heart, and that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served as a quorum president for the Teacher's quorum and first assistant in the Priest's quorum. I've been doing home teaching alongside with my dad since I was of age. I've helped with Eagle projects and other miscellaneous service projects around my city and county. I've always striven to play an active role in church and young men activities.
