Hi I'm Catherine

I'm from California. I'm a mathematician, a scientist, a musician. I love serving others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, attending BYU. I love music, math and science. I've been playing the piano for the past 12 years. I played flute in my high school marching band and have taught myself the saxophone. I love playing sports and being outdoors. Going on a hike? Count me in, I love being out and viewing all of God's beautiful creations. I am currently serving in the Georgia Atlanta North mission and love being in the South.

Why I am a Mormon

In high school I was asked if I believed this church was true, if I even believed that God existed. At the time I couldn't answer for certain if I did or not, but I felt determined to find out for sure. I started reading the scriptures more often, especially the Book of Mormon; I paid closer attention in church; and I prayed earnestly to my Heavenly Father asking if He was really there and if this was His church. As I read the Book of Mormon I felt overwhelming peace, as I read the world around me and all my worldly cares seemed to fade away and I knew there was something to this book. As I sat in church, the things I heard made sense to me, not only to my mind but to my heart as well. As I prayed I felt the love of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I knew they were real and they were there. I knew that there is a time after this life where they wait anxiously waiting for me to return to live with them. I knew that they had work for me to do, to share their message and their love will all my spirit brothers and sisters that we may all return to them again as one big, happy eternal family.

How I live my faith

I am serving the Lord as missionary in the Georgia area. I invite others to Christ by teaching His restored gospel. I seek to love and serve others as Jesus Christ does so they may know His love for them. Everyone is loved by our Heavenly Father and is infinite worth and I strive to always treat them accordingly so they feel and know of their importance to not only me, but to their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I do not only the big things Christ asks us to do, but mainly doing the little things every day: praying, reading the scriptures, being kind to others, and finding little ways to help others.
