Hi I'm Nicole Hillman

I'm Canadian, a BYU Business student, a full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time missionary, currently serving in the Canada Toronto Mission, and soon to be serving in the Spain Madrid mission! I am a former and future BYU business student, an avid cyclist, and a foodie. My brothers, sister, and parents are my best friends, and I love them with all my heart! I am blessed to have such good friends, an opportunity for a wonderful education, a strong family, and a solid testimony of the true and restored church.

Why I am a Mormon

I could spend all day discussing what I love so much about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, there are a few particulars that I am especially grateful that I have in my life, and a many things that I have only come to fully understand and know through the gospel. My family. They’re pretty far from where I am, but they are my favourite people in the world. My siblings inspire me everyday. My parents give so much for me; they are my biggest supporters and they are my closest friends. My dad is the hardest working person. My mom is the most compassionate woman. If I went back a million times and chose my parents, I would always choose them. I am so grateful for my family, and the strength we have as a family because of the gospel. The Book of Mormon. I love this book, and it’s influence is rivalled by nothing else; it is the most true book on this earth. My copy of the Book of Mormon is most precious possession, as it should be. I know it is another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was divinely called to translate the book and to share it with the world. I will be forever grateful for the comfort it gives to me, the knowledge I have because of it, and how it never ceases to amaze me. It constantly helps me to grow my faith and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon. People ask me on the regular why I am serving a mission, and I guess the same answer could be provided as to why I'm Mormon. My answer? Because I recognize the sacrifice my Savior made for me—the atonement. The happiness I’ve experienced because and through the atonement is absolutely unlike anything else. There are so many reasons I am a member of this church: the many examples I have in my life, the people who help me daily and teach and guide me through life; the Saviour and His infinite atonement and the knowledge I have of this incredible sacrifice; the mercy of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

As a current full-time Missionary for the church, I strive to live my faith in everything I do. I serve with as much love, enthusiasm and compassion as I can muster. I spend each day, from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep, with a prayer in my heart for those I am serving, and an eye toward the Lord and what He wants of me, trying to constantly be aware of what He would have me do. For the next 18 months, everything I do each and every day is living my faith. I am serving a full-time mission completely because of my faith.
