Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a student, a California girl, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Thailand. Before that I was a student at BYU-Idaho studying Elementary Education. My dream career is to be an education director at a zoo. Doesn't that sound like fun? I think so! I love to long-board, cook with my friends, exercise (really I do!) and travel!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true and that it was restored by a prophet of God because I did what the Book of Mormon asked me to do. And that is to ask God and to seek for an answer. The answer I got was in the form of blessings. My life began to change and now I can't deny the truthfulness of the gospel. I grew up in a home that didn't teach about God or Jesus Christ. The only thing that I knew of Him was that He created the world. My family believes in Animism, but as a child, I always had this burning desire to become closer to God. My heart felt warm every time I thought about Him. I don't know where the feeling of wanting to be baptized came from, but all that I can remember is that I felt as if it was the only way I could be saved. When I was 16 I was invited to play volleyball at the LDS church by some friends. Shortly after, I started taking lessons and while I was taking them I also visited other churches, but nothing felt like the feelings I felt when I was taking lessons from the Mormon missionaries. About a month after taking lessons, I decided to get baptized. Going to church just felt like home. It just felt right. I love this Gospel. I love the changes I've seen in my life and also my family's. I love knowing that there is a purpose to my life. I know my worth and my potential and I know where I belong all because I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to have the opportunity to share my faith with others everyday. I have been given a sacred calling; to be a representative of Jesus Christ. Everyday I strive to be like my Savior and be the help that others need in their lives.
