Hi I'm Alyssa

I dance in the rain. I scale mountains. I travel the world. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love the challenge of learning new things, so I'm always trying something new. I've picked up everything to from rock climbing to playing the guitar. Growing up I played soccer and in high school I decided to switch to cross country. In college I worked in Graphic Design and Illustration. I love to cook fancy foods, for my 18th birthday I cooked my family and extended family a five course meal. I recently spent 4 months in England on a study abroad. I have traveled quite a bit and I love to experience all of the different ways of doing things.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I believe it all comes down to love. In 1 John 4:8 it says, "God is love." Each and every one of us are his children and he loves us so much that he wants us to return to him, so he created a plan that would make that possible. When I came to understand the love that our Father in Heaven has for me and for each and every one of his children that is when I truly became converted. This gospel is one of love, of light, of joy, of families, of the eternities. I want to share that love with everyone. He is waiting for us with open arms, teaching us and preparing us to become the person that he knows that we can become. I am a Mormon because I chose to be one. Because I fought for my agency before I came to this Earth. This gospel is true. I know it. The spirit bears witness. I am so grateful to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I am going on a mission for the church to spread the joy of the gospel to others because it is such a wonderful blessing in my life. In the past I organized weekly activities for the girls in our ward to help them feel the spirit and develop talents they can use throughout their lives.
