Hi I'm Blaken Henrie

I grew up in Idaho and northern Utah. I am currently serving a mission in Apia, Samoa.

About Me

I am serving a mission in Apia Samoa. I love sports especially football and basketball. When I return, I plan on attending Utah State University in pursuit of an engineering degree. O lo'o tala'i 'e a'u se faifea'utala'i i Samoa. E alofa a'u i lakapi amerika ma paskalipolo.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have thrived in learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this church is the true church because of the feeling of the holy ghost that has burned within me non-stop ever since I first prayed to find out the truth for myself. I challenge anyone who believes that the Book of Mormon is a made up story to read the contents of this book and compare it to the teachings of Christ. After making this comparison, continue by finding a quiet place for yourself and kneeling down to ask God if this book is true. The feeling you will feel is the Holy Ghost bearing witness to you. Allow your heart to listen to this warmth inside of you and you will know weather it will be true or not.

How I live my faith

I started truly living my faith when I became a deacon at the age of twelve. I recently had moved to my new ward when I was called as the Deacons quorum president. Soon after receiving this calling, I decided that I needed to gain a personal testimony of the truth of the gospel. I took on the challenge that is found in Moroni 10:4-5 like many others do. Little did I know that this decision would change the course of my life. I continued to learn and grow in the gospel in such a way that I could eventually serve a mission. Now my time has come and I look forward to the opportunity to share the Love that our savior Jesus Christ has for each and every one of his children as a full time missionary.
