Hi I'm Justine

I grew up in the SF Bay Area. I went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and am now studying to be a midwife. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My family is my life, my job is my passion. I have an amazing husband that I love getting to know as we have fun and do things we love together. Our new baby is the joy of our world. He is the sweetest gift we have ever received. I love spending time with my little son, going to the beach, cooking, reading books, camping, hiking, running, softball (how I met my husband), bowling (the one sport I can beat my husband in), and much more. Life is for enjoying, I try to enjoy every day to the fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't always been mormon, I was raised Catholic for 9 years. The desire to change my life overcame me in my second year of college. I knew that I was not truly happy, I needed direction and I was pointed toward the church I had once known as a teen. Ever since I decided to come unto Christ, true joy has invaded my entire life. I am a mormon because I know that Christ lives and has lead me to this church for the tools to return to Him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the priesthood of God, the power of God on earth to preform saving ordinances. I know that because I was baptized, by someone holing the priesthood, I have been and continue to be forgiven of my wrongs. Thank goodness for that, because I am not perfect! I hope to be perfect some day as Christ helps me through this life. I also know that the love, experiences and happiness that we create and enjoy here in this life are not supposed to end at death. We are meant to leave this world and go on to be together as families forever. Many people lose children and loved ones without knowing of God's purpose to reunite them again; I want everyone to know His plan. Life is hard sometimes. God is always here to help us, all of us.

How I live my faith

I have the fun opportunity to teach and lead the 12-13 year old girls, the beehives, in the ward I attend. All of the young women are great examples to the people around them. The stories and comments they share in our Sunday school lessons blow me away; they truly are shinning lights in this dimming world. Many things they struggle with remind me of my teenage years. I try my best to lead them and guide them to make good choices and involve God in their lives. Every Wednesday night all the youth get together for a fun and uplifting activity. It is great to get together with the girls more than just on Sundays. Serving the Lord and his children is the most rewarding "job" I've ever had.
