Hi I'm Brett

I'm from Calgary Canada. I love reading, history and sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about a great many things these days. My family comes in at number 1 on the priority list. Now that I am a new dad, this is especially the case. I have also recently graduated from University with a business degree and am pursing a professional sales career. Beyond the above things, I enjoy reading (especially history and philosophy),rollerblading (even in the winter), wall climbing and even a good old game of dodge ball when the opportunity arises.

Why I am a Mormon

The way I live my life can be divided into two categories. Times when I am doing my best to live the standards of the church, and the times that I am not. Through experience, it has become very clear that I am the happiest and most successful when I am living the standards of my faith. This is no mere coincidence, and recognizing this distinction has made all the difference in the choices I make in my life. I am far from perfect, but from what I know and believe, I would be a fool to not follow the things the church has taught me.

How I live my faith

On a church social level, I have had the opportunity to serve in various capacities. Perhaps the most enjoyable and rewarding experience has been my role as a youth leader. I have worked with kids ages 8-12 and teenagers ages 14-16. I have taught them on both practical and religious subjects, helped them work on Scouting achievements and yes, even played dodge ball with them. On a more personal note, I live my faith day by day. Being a Mormon has its challenges but the reward is infinitely worth it. I regularly look for opportunities to serve my family, my friends and my community.
