Hi I'm Hensley

I'm a traveler. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am almost nineteen years old and I consider myself a pretty normal teenager. I love to travel the world with my sister and my parents, I love to spend a day in the kitchen and bake. I love to listen to music and dance. If I find a good book, I stop everything just to finish that book. I love to meet new people and go on adventures. I've recently been called to serve in the Dallas, TX mission for 18 months. I will leave in January and teach the gospel in the Spanish language. It came as a shock to me when I was called to speak Spanish because I've grown up speaking German at home. But I know that with the help of God anything is possible and I couldn't be more excited to serve the people of Dallas in the Spanish language.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I've been a member of this church and it wasn't until recently when I realized that I could not live without the gospel. This gospel has truly been a blessing in my life and I've seen it bless others lives as well. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true and that I am not alone. I am a Mormon because I want to feel the peace and happiness that it brings those who will accept it. I am a Mormon because I've seen the miracles that can happen when you have faith. I am a Mormon because without it, I would not be who I am today.

How I live my faith

In my ward I have the opportunity to be a Sunday school teacher. I love teaching the youth of our church and helping them discover who they are and learn more about the gospel. It's a great opportunity for me to share my testimony and teach them what I know. The amazing thing about teaching them is that I am not the only teacher in the classroom. I am blessed with students who are also teachers and they teach me new things each time we're in class. I truly love this gospel and it makes me so happy to be able to teach and learn new things each Sunday when we meet.
