Hi I'm Peter Clark

I am Peter Clark. I'm a college student studying economics, I love to run marathons, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to run long distances races. I am a marathon runner and love the thrill of being able to go out and run for hours. I love to accomplish things I never thought were possible. I am a former missionary who served in the Cuernavaca, Mexico. I love the Mexican people and especially Mexican Food! I currently attend the University of Utah, where I study Economics. I hope to work for the United States Government as an Economist in the near future. I love the Gospel and I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the fullness of the gospel of Christ. The church contains the authority of the priesthood to preform all ordinances. The the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have read it and know it to be true. I know that Joseph Smith say God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove on a spring morning in 1820. I know that because of this event, God's church has been restored to the earth. The gospel and church is centered around Jesus Christ, he is the leader of our church and I know him to be the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I know that through him we can be with God for eternity.

How I live my faith

I participate by attending church every Sunday and do the best I can to be involved in the Church and in the Community. I teach a class to help prepare potential missionaries to serve. I recently returned from serving an LDS mission in Cuernavaca, México. I gave up 2 years of my life to serve and teach the people about Jesus Christ and how to live a happier life. I love to be involved in Community politics because I feel that it is a place where we can make a real difference, and that I can stand for my values and show love for my country and community. My faith affects my everyday decisions. I try to do what's right because I know there is a God and he has a plan for me. I try to live my life according to that plan.

In whom should we have faith?

Peter Clark
Our faith should be centered completely around Jesus Christ. We are the Church of Jesus Christ and everything is built on him, his life, and his teachings. We have faith that through Jesus Christ that we can be redeemed in the Kingdom of Heaven. We also believe that it is not effort to have faith, but that we need to exercise faith in Christ by living his teachings and trying to act in a manner that he would act. We center our religion around faith in Jesus Christ and in showing our faith in him. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Peter Clark
We as mormons do not endorse any political candidates or parties as a church, and the church has taken a neutral stance. We do however hold certain values that we factor into what political parties and candidates that we support. We believe strongly in participating in government and encourage all of our members to participate in local and national government. This is the reason that many of our members are encourage to vote and perform our civic duties. Show more Show less
