Hi I'm Lance

I am a student at Utah State University. I love the outdoors and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest in a family of six, five boys and one girl, the girl being the youngest. I have a great passion for sports and the outdoors. I am a big football and basketball fan. Even more than watching though, I love participating. I really enjoy hiking, camping, and skiing. In reality I just love to be involved in any sort of activity. Another thing I enjoy is playing the guitar, singing, and dancing. I don't think there is any better way to bring people together than through music. I am studying at a university right now. The major I am pursuing is Statistics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I also know that we are all sons and daughters of a Father in Heaven and we all have a divine potential. By following the instructions of Jesus Christ I know we can fulfill that potential and return to live with our Father in Heaven again. My goal in this life is to be happy. God has promised us that if we follow his commandments we can live with our loved ones for time and all eternity. I know that I am happiest when I am with those that I love. By living the gospel standards, I personally have lived a happier lifestyle. Not because trials and afflictions don't happen, because they do, but because my attitude is so much more optimistic and I can feel the Savior's love as I try to go about doing good. I am Mormon because it truly makes me happy. I know that He loves and cares for us. I know that His gospel has been restored and that we can return to live with Him by following Him. I know He lives and through him we will also live.

How I live my faith

The biggest thing that I try to do is to do as the Savior, Jesus Christ would do. I start off the day with a prayer and I also read the words of the holy scriptures to help me know how I can be a positive influence on my community and to family and friends. Right now I serve in a position that allows organize and carry out service projects for those who are in need, visit individuals and share an uplifting message centered on Christ with them. In all that I say and do, I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and go about doing good just as He did. I'm not perfect, in fact far from it, but keeping my thoughts focused on the Savior has helped me remember who I am and what I can become.
