Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in New England. I love to play basketball. I like to make people happy. I like to dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Connecticut, and I've loved the North East. I am not a big fan of frigid temperatures, so I am glad to serving a mission in Brazil for two years. I've gone to one year of college at Brigham Young University where I majored in Electrical Engineering. Since then, I've been home for a year earning money and preparing for my mission. I love to play basketball and to be active. I love the outdoors, and the peace it brings. I also love to dance. Whether it be in my room, in front of a mirror, or at a party or a homecoming ball, I enjoy myself through dance.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because I know the happiness it gives me and my family. Without the church, I would be lacking the guidance one needs to continue through this life and its hardships and trials, and i would become sad. I know that when I am following the commandments and doing what is right, I will have a peace, perspective and a purpose to my life, and through these things I stay positive. I was titled the class optimist, my senior year in high school, and all I could say, was that its because of this church that I have a positive outlook. I am always happy, I am always smiling, and that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle Scout, and through the scouting program, I learned how to serve others. The experience I received through that program helped me be more organized and more mature, and it helped me find out who I am. The fact that The Scouting program is intertwined with the church and it's youth programs makes total sense to me. The youth are being taught to serve others and to love others through both of these organizations. I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for the church and its involvement in the scouting program. I will continue to serve at a higher capacity as a missionary and representative of Jesus Christ. This way I can share what I have learned and what this church means to me.
