Hi I'm Lauren Benjamin

I love theater, music, and working with people. I'm very interested in politics and history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm preparing to serve a full-time mission for the Church, and I'm very excited to share the peace and comfort of the gospel. When I get off my mission, I plan on going to college to study theater and English. I love to sing, dance, act, write, but I also enjoy running, hiking, and playing Frisbee. I love working with kids, and I was crazy enough to direct a community musical last summer with a cast mostly made up with children; I learned so much and loved every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, but I have had to learn the truth of the gospel for myself. By learning about the principles of the gospel and by trying them out, I learned for myself that they were doing good in my life. It took time, but as tried my best, I felt the power and happiness that the gospel can bring.

How I live my faith

Through the Church, I've learned so much about serving and helping others. My mom and I are visiting teaching companions and it's amazing to talk with the sweet women we are assigned to; they've taught me so much. When I was a part of the youth group for young women in the Church, there were so many opportunities for service. We visited the elderly, made care baskets for people, and put together a lot of other activities that allowed us to serve in some way. I've been blessed with many opportunities to use my musical talents in church meetings as well, and those opportunities have helped me so much.
