Hi I'm Amber

I grew up in California and moved to Idaho after graduation. I'm now driving truck to fund my mission. I'm a mormon

About Me

Some generic information about me is that I was born in Boise Idaho we then moved to Utah and stayed there for a short while, we then moved to Vancouver Washington and when I was four we moved to California. I have lived in three cities in California - Roseville, Antelope, and Yuba City. I have two little brothers who love to make as much noise as possible at any given time. Ever since I was a little girl I had lots of energy and so my parents put me into soccer when I was five. I played for twelve years and then took up running. Some other hobbies I have are reading and drawing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but it wasn't till I was around the age of 12 that I really became a true member of the church. I got to participate in the Sacramento Temple Celebration. The Celebration was an event put on by the youth, boys and girls ages 12-18, each stake preformed a dance that had to do with church history and family history and temple work. We also learned a set of songs and we got to preform them in front of President Gordon B. Hinckley, a past prophet of our church who passed away. The preformance really made me feel happy and at peace. Since then whenever I read my scriptures or other church material I can feel the spirit and it just makes me so alive. I can feel the truth of the church through the music that is produced and the speakers that we hear. I love the unity that comes from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Wherever you go there is almost always a church ward that you can go to and the people just make you feel welcome. I am a Mormon because it brings me true joy and comfort to know why I am here and what comes after we die.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to read my scriptures daily, say my prayers, and strive to be kind and charitable to everyone I meet. I go to church every week and lead the music during sacrament meeting. I love going to the Family Home Evening activities and other church activities that come up. I try to make it to every fireside there is, a fireside is a broadcast or meeting were church leaders give extra council and direction to the members.
