Hi I'm Jessica Mansfield

I like to write funny poetry and play tennis. I love Harry Potter. I have been called to serve a mission in Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am almost 19 years old and just graduated from high school. I have been called to serve a mission in Mexico and leave November 20th. When I return I plan to go to college to learn to become a teacher. I love to write, especially poetry, and played tennis through high school and sang in the choirs (although I'm not very good :) ). I currently work at a restaurant as a server and cashier.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the church. As a young child, the church was the only thing I knew and that was why I went, but it is different now. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it as I got older, and have received feelings in my heart that the church is true. I have witnessed in my life that living the gospel brings me more happiness than anything else. I have felt the Holy Ghost in my life testify to me that this is the right path by peaceful and joyous feelings in my heart. I am grateful that through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, families can be together forever. I know that this is the true church of God restored upon the earth in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I currently go to church in a ward for young single adults. I serve as a ward missionary there until I leave on my full-time mission. We have lots of activities through the ward each week. I am looking forward to spending a year and a half serving the Lord on a mission and sharing with others the things that bring me so much joy and that I know to be true.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Read the Book of Mormon and pray to feel Heavenly Father's love and that what your reading is true. Sometimes answers don't come right away, so be patient! And it isn't always an obvious sign. The answer often comes quietly. Keep the commandments, read the scriptures, pray, and continually listen and feel for an answer, and it will come with a feeling of peace and joy in your heart.
