Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in California. Graduated from the University of Alabama. I work for State Farm Insurance. I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in California after my family moved from Chicago when I was 2 years old. My parents divorced a few years later. My mother moved my siblings and me to Alabama with her when I was 9 years old, and I lived there for 3 years. My siblings and I would often visit my father in California. I eventually graduated High School in California. It was difficult being separated from my brothers and sister and I often wished we could all be together again. One year, while visiting Alabama, I met the missionaries who taught me the gospel. I knew immediately that I had found something special. My heart was changed forever. I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A year later I went on my mission. Now it has been almost 14 years since the day I was baptized. I have a wife and 3 kids and amazing friends. My life is not perfect, but Sometimes it feels like it is:). I am so grateful to have my wife in my life. She makes me a better person each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I met the missionaries and they asked me to read the Book of Mormon with the intent of understanding and knowing for myself whether it was a true book of scripture. After considerable study, coupled with fasting and prayer, I had a spiritual revelation and witness from the Spirit that testified to me that the message from the missionaries was a message from God. It left such an impression upon me that I have never seriously looked back. Since that day, I have had many instances where that witness from the Spirit was confirmed for " to him that believith these things which I have spoken will I visit with the manifestations of my Spirit."

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day trying to be a better person than yesterday, trying to be like my Savior Jesus Christ. I know it is a steady race and I try to do the little things like read scriptures daily, attend my church meetings, pay tithing, and serve others any chance I get. Small acts of kindness go a long way also. My family is why I work so hard on my faith. I love my family and I want to always be with them.
