Hi I'm Josh

I grew up all over the United States. I love playing/coaching tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent graduate of High School and am currently preparing to serve a mission in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I have spent many of my High School years playing tennis and then coaching new tennis players of all ages. I enjoy spending time with the students I coach and love watching them progress. In addition to tennis, I love music. A couple years back I joined my church choir, and since then I have created an unbreakable bond with uplifting music. I was even inspired to pick up on an instrument, and have grown quite skillful at the piano, still a long ways from mastering it though. I enjoy hanging out with all of my friends on the weekends and, now that school is out, any time I can find. In short summary of my life; I'm a lucky guy to have all that I am blessed with.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout life there are many pitfalls. That is an unarguable, unchanging fact of life, but it doesn't mean that it is the ONLY unarguable, unchanging part of life. I have learned of other truths that hold true through even the worst stages of my life, from loved family members falling prey to cancer, friend's deciding to call it quits in the game of life, and the all-to-recent divorce of my parents, that there is ALWAYS someone looking out for me who loves me with an eternal devotion. I am a son of my Heavenly Father and no matter what hardships befall me and my family I know without an ounce of doubt that He is watching over me at all times and in all places, through my brightest moments, and my worst missteps. He cares so much for me, and all of his other children, including anyone reading this, yes, you too, that He sent His own son to atone for all of our sins, that we may return home to be with Him. This simple fact of life has carried me through my darkest moments and fills me with hope and joy in preparation for the pitfalls to come. Even through the people I love may leave me in this life, it is for but a small moment in the grand timeline of eternity and I will be able to see them again if I live my life true to His commandments.

How I live my faith

Currently I am preparing to serve on a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Preparing takes a lot of effort and requires nearly constant attention to my actions, words, and deeds. Many of my closest friends have recently left on missions to various parts of the world, and many others will follow in their footsteps after I do; it is great to have such good examples all around me.
