Hi I'm Cynthia Jensen

I love music. I love my family. I love my Savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah to a wonderful family who loves and supports me in all that I do. We moved to Texas at the end of elementary school. All through middle school and high school the main thing I was involved in was choir. I have always had a passion for music, especially singing and playing the piano. At this time I am in the state of Washington serving for eighteen months as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With this I have the opportunity to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as to focus all of my time on sharing this with anyone that will listen. When I return home, I plan to begin college. I would like to go into business management. I have yet to decide anything more specific than that. In general, I love to eat and sleep and spend time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to have this gospel my entire life. Over the years I have had so many opportunities to strengthen my knowledge and to learn for myself of the truth that it holds. I know that every commandment given to us, though at times they may seem difficult to follow, is given for an eternal purpose. Following the commandments of God has only blessed my life and will continue to do so as I build my testimony. As a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have the wonderful opportunity to share the restored truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to represent my Savior. In so doing, I have been able to strengthen my own testimony of His gospel. Each time I am able to understand an aspect of His gospel better, my testimony grows and I am inclined to act on the knowledge that I receive. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this is the only church that contains the full and living truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In no other church can you find the same knowledge or the same authority to act in the name of God to bring forth His works on the earth and to build up His kingdom. I am a Mormon because I know these things and because I want everyone in the world to know these things as well. Only through living the teachings of this gospel can any person have true happiness and peace in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving an eighteen month mission in the state of Washington. This means that each day I get to learn more and share more about my faith. I have the wonderful opportunity to invite others to come unto Christ as I am doing the same. Each day I study the word of God and then try to apply what I have learned to help those around me. I also try my best to live by what I have learned. I know that through living my faith I am also helping my faith grow. This happens because faith, especially faith in Jesus Christ, requires action. When we act on what we know our faith will only continue to grow.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Cynthia Jensen
When Christ was on the earth He established His church and His teachings. He also gave the authority to act in the name of God to His apostles. In time, the people became wicked. They rejected and killed Jesus and His apostles. With their deaths, many truths were lost as well as the proper authority to act in the name of God. Because truths were lost, a restoration was needed to bring the truths once more to the earth in their fullness. Show more Show less
