Hi I'm Griffen Clayton

I grew up in Salt Lake City, I love sports and am now serving a mission in Tallahassee Florida. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Salt Lake City, and lived in Texas for a little bit. I went to Skyline High School. I played on the Baseball team for 4 years, and I love playing other sports! I love to watch.. Well most any sport really! Im a BYU fan. I love spending my free time with friends and family! There is nothing more important to me than to prepare to be the best husband and father that I can be. I want to live to my full potential that God has planned for me. I am serving a mission in Tallahassee Florida! There is nothing I would rather be doing than serving the Lord and doing is work!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true, and I love this church. I feel at home and so close to the spirit as I live the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love the fact that because of the Restoration of the Priesthood through the prophet Joseph Smith, families can be sealed and live for time and all eternity. I love the gospel and Jesus Christ. I have a duty in this church and am working on fullfilling it!

How I live my faith

I try to be the best example that I can. I strive to trust in God the best that I can, because he loves us and is always there for us through thick and thin. I live the gospel the best I can, sometimes it may be hard but theres a reason why he gives us what he has.. Because he loves us. One of my favorite quotes I love saying to myself when I doubt: "I know not, save the Lord commanded me" -Adam. The Lord gives us certain things to do, even though sometimes we may question why he does, there is always a reason to why he does it. Life is not easy, but as long as we follow what God and his Son ask of us, they will be there for us. He loves us unconditionally and we do too. He went through more than anyone could imagine to pay for our sins, and through his Atonement we have a pathway back to him and we can live with him again! As long as we do our best and give all that we have to him, he will provide for the rest. If we make mistakes, he still loves us. He wants nothing more than for us to find the way back to him. I love Serving him and being a part of this great plan!

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Griffen Clayton
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the source of power and cleansing that we can all seek and feel in this life. It is when Jesus Christ took upon himself all the Sins, Pains, sicknesses, sorrows, and guilt of this world and all of God's children. What I love about the Atonement is what it teaches us about it in Alma 7:11-15, where it tells us he took it all upon himself so he could succor us. It was the greatest act of Love and Charity. His sacrifice was necessary because without him we would not be able to make it back to God's presence. Because of the fall of Adam and Eve we are in this imperfect mortal state. But because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can be perfected and cleansed and return to our Heavenly Fathers presence! Show more Show less
