Hi I'm Jessica

A recent convert, I'm the only member of my family to join the church so far. I am on my mission in South Carolina! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving my mission; spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who wish to hear it! I love helping people draw closer to God and watching the changes that are made in their lives because of this relationship with their Heavenly Father. I've been a member of the church for two years and it is my joy and my pleasure to be out here serving others and doing the work of our Father. Before I came on my mission I spent a good portion of my time reading and writing. My favorites are fantasy adventure books. I love the creativity and the amazing way that you can be completely whisked away into a whole other world. I hope to be a writer when I return home. I want to be able to create something that brings excitement, something that opens minds to a whole new world of possiblities!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know in my heart and in my soul that this church, the Book of Mormon, and Jesus Christ, our beloved Savior, are true. I came to this church as a last ditch effort to find the piece of me that was missing and I found it. I had been to many churches before this one and, while they all had parts that felt right, they all still had something missing. When I came to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I was curious at first, albeit a bit begrudging, but I couldn't help but to voice my questions. I needed answers and had finally found a place that could give them to me. I took the lessons that the missionaries offered me and I felt the Spirit so strongly each time we met. I never stopped and thought to myself that this might not be true. I knew it immediately; that this is the truth and that this is where I am meant to be. I am ever grateful to the people that helped me to join the church and eternally joyful that I have this amazing relationship with my Father in Heaven!

How I live my faith

I am on my mission right now, serving the Lord with all my heart, might, mind, and strength. I love being out here and meeting all of these new people. I know that God has prepared people for me to teach and that the hearts of many are softening and their minds are opening to the message that we carry. I love teaching and finding all of my brothers and Sisters that are out here. Each new person is completely different than the last and brings forth questions that I've never asked or been asked before. I think that it's such a blessing that I get to learn just as much as they do sometimes! My faith is increased every day when I go out and see all of the many blessings that God has put in my life and in the lives of others.
