Hi I'm Mike

19 years old, California kid, Missionary in Alabama, Lax is life, and I'm a freakin Mormon!

About Me

Raised in Orange County California my whole life. My parents were Mormon before I was born, but they fell away from the church before I can even remember. Didn't end up joining the church until I was 12 years old. Love to play video games and listen to all kinds of music, although Lacrosse is my passion. I could go out and mess around with a lacrosse stick and ball for hours and not get bored. I played lacrosse in high school for 3 years and absolutely loved every second of it. Back home, if I wasn't at lacrosse practice, you most likely could find me constantly driving around with friends, whether we would be actually going somewhere or just cruising listening to music. Or occasionally you could find me sitting on my couch playing xbox and eating junk food... Ok maybe a little more than occasionally, but that's not important. What's important is that I put the easy life on hold for a bit, and decided to serve a mission. Missionary work can be hard at times, but it has its moments that are just....awesome! Love being a missionary, trying to make the big man upstairs proud. Yes, my last name is a car. I am well aware.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because this gospel is true! Because this church has helped me deal with so many trials in my life. Trials that I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to get past without the members of this church. And I know that this church can help not only its members, but anyone that is willing to let it. And plus, being a Mormon is fun! Just because I'm a Mormon doesn't mean I can't have fun in life! In fact, I think that being a Mormon makes life that much better! Who needs alcohol when you have chocolate milk? Who needs drugs when you have Taco Bell? Seriously, being a Mormon is where it's at!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the right thing in every situation that I come across. I know that as long as I try my best to make the right choices in my life, I will be blessed. I also live my faith by being a missionary for this church. I may not be a perfect missionary, but I'm serving the Lord the best that I can.

Are Mormons Christians?

The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints... I think a simple "yes" answers that question. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

What kind of non sense is that? "Mormons only helping Mormons" What?? That might just be one of the biggest lies I've ever heard! I'm pretty sure I've helped more people outside the church than people inside it. Mormons don't just help other Mormons, we help everyone! Show more Show less

What is faith?

Simply put, I think that faith is having a belief in something, and then ACTING on that belief. Without an action, faith just turns into a belief. Faith without works is dead. So, for example: I can believe in Jesus Christ. But, do I have the FAITH to act on my believe? (Going to church, serving people, paying tithing, etc...) To me, that is what faith is.
