Hi I'm Kimber Lee

I am from Missouri. I plan to serve a mission in Iquitos, Peru. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old, and I attend Brigham Young University-Idaho. I enjoy reading classic novels, playing the piano, learning languages, and cooking. I have just received a call to serve a mission in Iquitos, Peru and I love being Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by an excellent mother and father, who love this church and helped me to come to believe that it's true. I leaned on their knowledge and testimony of it's truth all throughout my life until I was the age of 14. Because I grew up in Utah, there being a heavy population of Mormons, it wasn't hard to keep the standards of the church seeing as all of my friends were keeping them with me. Then, the summer before my freshman year of high school, my family moved to a small town in Missouri. Making the changes between city life to small town were hard, but it was nothing compared to the changes in school and friends. The people I attended school with were by no means bad people, they just chose to live different standards than I and I had to find out for myself if this church was true, I had to know if the standards I felt the need to live up to were worth it. Several different events happened over the course of the years, including sinning and the need to repent and relying on Jesus Christ's Atonement, and I came to understand the happiness that comes with this church. I realized the standards set by the church were not rules, but were to keep me safe and ultimately set me free from heartache and sadness. I came to understand my Savior and found the need to call upon His strength many, many times because my strength just wasn't enough. I am a Mormon, because I know this church brings the highest form of happiness that this life can present, and I wouldn't trade the joy for anything.

How I live my faith

I start living my faith every morning by reading out of the scriptures, and praying to our Heavenly Father. I continue to strive to be like Christ while helping my family at home, and serving those around me when I'm at work. On Sundays, I teach lessons to the women who attend church with me and I love to invite others to come to church.
