Hi I'm Pam

I grew up in Bakersfield, California. I'm now married with 4 boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My first love is being a Mother and Wife, it is a tough job but very worth it. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and have 4 boys. I also love to read just about anything, but I particularly love science fiction. I also love to sew, draw and paint, and play games. My favorite sport is softball and I usually play on a league during the summer. I enjoy playing laser tag and going to the batting cages in my down time.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents didn't grow up Mormon, in fact my Dad was raised as a Lutheran and my Mom as a Baptist. They decided to become Mormon after my oldest sister died in a car crash. I was raised Mormon but as a teenager I was teased a lot for being a Mormon and began to distance myself from the religion. It took me becoming so depressed and lonely that I no longer wanted to live to truly see how much God loved me and wanted me to follow Him. I have been very blessed to always feel a close connection with God, and feel his love for me. Through prayer and scripture study I realized that this is where He wanted me to be. It wasn't an easy decision but I have never regretted it.

How I live my faith

Currently I help out at church by teaching the children music. The lyrics to our songs are beautiful and teach the values of Jesus Christ to the children. I especially enjoy teaching the little ones in our nursery who range in age from 18 months to 3 years. I teach them songs with a lot of hand actions so they can participate better since they can't read. Their favorite song is "The Wise Man and The Foolish Man" which teaches them in music form about the parable from Jesus Christ found in Luke 6:46-49. In the past I have also been a teacher for the young women and a leader in Cub Scouts.
