Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I grew up in Australia. I want to serve God and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a house of boys so it stands to reason that I enjoy dirt bike riding, hunting, the occasional fish and AFL. I'm also a geek; I love sci fi television shows! I'm also very interested in humanitarian work. Last year I participated in a small group that went over to South Africa to provide sustainable humanitarian relief, later on this year I will be doing the same in Vietnam. Soon I will be starting a University degree in Psychology. I have a large passion for music and try to incorporate it into my everyday life so that I can use the talents that God has given me to bless others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. Through my family history I am a 5th generation Mormon. However, I'm not simply a Mormon because I was born into the church but because I have found out for myself of its truthfulness. It was actually missionary work that prompted me to finally kneel down and ask God for myself if this was His true gospel or whether I was just wasting my time doing what was expected of me to keep appearances for my family. I received an answer through the Holy Ghost that this church is true. I try each day to strengthen my testimony, although it is hard I know that God loves me and wants me to succeed in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the standards that the church provides. This means dressing modestly and keeping my language clean as well as praying often and providing service to those around me. I also live my faith by fulfilling callings at church. I was recently released as a counsellor in the youth young women's program and I'm currently the chorister for my ward.
