Hi I'm Denver

I am a missionary. That's what I am.

About Me

I always love to share my testimony to others when given the opportunity. My family had been an active member of this true Church for almost 10 years. Even though I was baptized, I never knew until now if I had a testimony of the restored gospel. But I had a powerful conversion of my own with the help of missionaries. Since I was a deacon, every time when missionaries invited me to fellowship, my answer was always” Yes”. They always bear their testimonies and ask the investigators if they prayed about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and about the experience of Joseph Smith. I was frustrated and bored to their repeated question. But I realized this question hit me hard and I thought to myself, “I have never prayed about these things, but I should and I will.” I was motivated to take action because my faith at the time was weak and my testimony of scriptures was shallow. That night I prayed to my Father about Joseph Smith and the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I started shaking as if an electric current had gone through my whole body. Instantly I knew that Joseph Smith had indeed seen Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. I knew that we had the Book of Mormon because God had it translated through His prophet.

Why I am a Mormon

I give you my witness that God lives. He is our loving Father in Heaven and we are His children. I do know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. I give you my witness that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and the Savior of the world. He made the Atonement and I want to pay Him by serving on a mission. I want to sacrifice my whole life only for mission. I appreciated for what Jesus suffered by repenting of my sins I need to overcome. I give you my witness that Joseph Smith is the prophet of God through whom the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored in latter days. I realized that if the gospel had not been restored, I would not have known my Redeemer. I know the fullness of the gospel is true, and I know I will receive God’s promises if I endure faithfully to the end. I give you my witness that the Book of Mormon is word of God. I have read many times and it changes my life. I give you my witness that President Thomas S. Monson, his counselors, and the members of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles are prophets, seers and revelators in our day.

How I live my faith

My family had been an active member of this true Church for almost 10 years. I grew up in the Church with goodly parents and had always planned on serving a mission. I know that leaving on a mission will require sacrifices. I feel excite about serving mission rather than my scholarship. I feel a strong desire to share my testimony that God lives, that He is our Father in Heaven and that He can perform many miracles in our lives. He has given me my life and it always belongs to Him. I know they needed me there because of the people I teach, the things I learn and the families I blessed. No matter what happen I will do my very best so that other families can be together forever. I know that I needed to “declare the words of God” like Alma and Amulek. I will never change my mind and I continue to reap the blessings of having honorably served the Lord in His vineyard.
