Hi I'm Veronica Jenkins

Raised in Idaho, forever a country girl. I love to dance. I love to teach kids in 4H and coach Color Guard. I’m a Mormon

About Me

My life has been filled with music. I have been in Band since 5th grade playing the clarinet and played the piano off and on since I was little. Every one in my family, except my father, can play at least one instrument but most of us can play more. My mom has a beautiful voice and can play the guitar. Our love for music came from her. I participated in Marching Band in High school and was a part of the color guard which has been my biggest passion since I started in Middle School . I have had the chance to coach at the very high school from which I graduated. I Love to dance I could do it all day. My life was also filled with youth programs like 4H where I learned skills from Sewing and Cooking to Livestock care and Crafts. My mom was my leader for most of these. When I turned about 15 I became a teen leader and helped teach other kids the things I learned and have continued ever since. My parents taught us that quality mattered in the things we did. My mom and I have an alterations business where we do everything we can to give our customers quality work. I was involved in FFA as well which gave me opportunities for leadership, and participated in the judging teams and conventions which gave me experience for my future. I am a student at BYU-Idaho and my major is Animal Science and my Minor is Dance. My family is the most important thing to me in this world. I also love the out doors camping and Hunting and riding my horse. I also enjoy helping my Pa on my Grandmas farm.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. But there was a time that I really had to decide if it was truly what I believed to be true. And honestly Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and this Gospel have been the one constant in my life that hasn't ever let me down or changed. The principles that are taught, including that we are Children of our Heavenly Father, that Christ atoned for every ones sins and shortcomings and pains and heartaches and that He was raised from the dead on the 3rd day, and that our families can be together not only for time but for all eternity are why I am a Mormon. I know these things to be true. I am a member of this Church because I know for my self that these things are what make us happy.

How I live my faith

I am the second oldest of 6 kids and the oldest daughter. I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I grew up in Rexburg, Idaho which, to be honest, I don't think I would be me if I had lived any where else. Because I grew up in a predominately LDS community I was able to have release time Seminary throughout high school. Once I graduated I had the opportunity to go to BYU-Idaho which is located in my home town. I go to church each week and I do my best daily to live as Christlike as possible. I also do my best to be a support to those people I know that are currently serving missions around the world. These missionaries include my own brother and my very best friends. I also have tried to support the local missionaries by going with them to lessons and feeding them when ever my family can. Now I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Ohio Cincinnati Mission for a period of 18 months. I can't think of any better way to live my faith than through missionary work. I love the People of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. The lessons I have learned has blessed me and my current family.
