Hi I'm Trevan

I grew up in Utah. I love activities in the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do anything in the outdoors. I love longboarding, mountain biking, surfing, and especially snowboarding. I love playing sports with my friends and just enjoying their company.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a LDS home. My parents were members before I was born. Growing up I was always taught the teachings of Christ. For quite a while I floated on my parents testimonies. I figured if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for me. Our ward in Utah did this thing we called "missionary month" where all of the youth in our ward ages 12-18 would learn about a section of the gospel (usually the restoration) then at the end of the month we would teach a family in our ward what we had learned. When I studied the restoration in depth I felt like it was correct but I decided to pray about it. I asked Heavenly Father to tell me if Joseph Smith was a true prophet and if the Book of Mormon was indeed a true book. The answer I received was so personal and so powerful I knew for myself that this was the only true religion on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

This past year I was serving as the first assistant to the bishop in the 16-18 year old class. This placed quite a bit of responsibility on me. I was in charge of organizing activities and helping these young men. I prayed for the boys I was responsible for every night. I came to know them better and better. I found myself gaining a deeper appreciation for each of their different qualities.
