Hi I'm Kaelton Heil

Hi I'm Kaelton, I love my family, music, snowboarding, I am a missionary in Germany. Live to laugh and the rest is it!

About Me

I am the oldest of 6 kids so my house is always loud and has something going on. To tell you the honest truth, I don't feel at home unless there is a little bit of screaming, someone running through the house, the television up way too loud, kool-aid spills on the kitchen counter, little kids laughing in the backyard, and a little bit of Chaos. I am serving a mission in Frankfurt Germany. Which is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has changed my life. I am so grateful for the experiences I have had here I love sports! Maybe a little too competitive for my own good sometimes, Ha.. I love baseball(St. Louis Cardinals all the way!) Huge baseball fan!, football, and basketball. But nothin' beats being on the mountain on a Blue Bird Morning, or behind a boat in the water, board strapped to your feet, or at a fire Guitar in your hands. I love spending time with my family, nothing better than listening to my brother and sisters playing in the yard, or talking to my parents about anything. My family is the most important thing in my life and because of them, I came to realize how important this Gospel is, and how it can effect the life of my future family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me purpose in life, because of the great examples of Teachers, Parents, and Friends I have come to know my Savior a little bit more. I know who I want to be, and I know how I can reach it. I have come to see over time that there is more to this big game that we call life. It was not always easy for me, in fact there was a point in my life where I wanted nothing to do with Religion, above all this church. It was a hard time in my life, where I had no real direction or hope. Just going through the motions day by day. I just did not understand why I was here. I had always had the question "Why was I lucky enough to be born into such a good, well-off, religious family?" I could never find this answer when there are so many who have so much less than me, people who are better than I could ever dream of being, are stuck in such poor circumstances. As I found more about who I am, who I was, and who I want to be, I came to see the hand of my Savior in my life, and have also come to know why this Gospel is so important to me. As the Savior says in Luke 12:34, Matthew 6:21, and 3 Nephi 13:21. "For where your treasure is, there will your Heart be also." I have come to see where my treasure is, and I know where my Heart is. I am Mormon because this Gospel makes me better. Better than I was yesterday, and tomorrow better than I am today.

How I live my faith

I really think that living our faith is one of the most important things we as a church do. Our faith is not just a faith, it is really a lifestyle. My faith is based around service. I love being able to help someone and just know that it is exactly what Jesus Christ would have done. It is very humbling knowing the blessings in my life and being able to give back what I can, to those who are not so blessed, or may have had a hard time. I have seen in my life how my parents have served their children, and not only their children but others around them. It is something very powerful I think to help someone who may not have as much as I, or is going through a hard time. It is a very humbling spiritual experience if you let it, it can also show your testimony as well as potentially helping someone else grow theirs. If you look at the life of Jesus Christ everything he did was to help others, I know I may not be the best at helping all the time, but I try my best to see where help is needed and then to act. I think that is all that we can do. We live what we know, and we love it. That is what this Gospel is for me.
