Hi I'm Madison

I am a Utahn. I love being a wife, daughter, sister and aunt. I am a college student. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying Elementary Education at BYU. I am a senior and have loved studying education. I have a strong passion for education because of the growth and brightness it gives us. I love to read, my favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. I am married to the most wonderful guy. We met at BYU and have been married for about a year and a half. He makes me so happy and confident. I love my family with my whole heart. Every other Sunday my family gets together for Sunday dinner. These meals are always my favorite memories.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Gospel brings me the greatest joy and happiness that I could possibly ever have in this life time. I can testify that it is the knowledge of this Gospel that has brought me my greatest joys in life. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I have seen its truth, felt in my heart this truth and I could never deny the truth of this church. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ I am empowered to know that I am a Daughter of God with infinite worth and potential. In this crazy and chaotic world in which we all live in there has been many times that I have felt lost, discouraged, afraid, lonely and depressed. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I know that I am never alone. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I know that I am never alone. I can testify that our Savior did come to this earth, bled and died for me and all of his children because he loves us. The atonement is the greatest act of love that has ever been preformed. He took on the pains, sorrows and afflictions of this world so we could return to him and never be alone in this life time or the next. Because or the Atonement we can live forever. This Gospel brings families together. I know that families our eternal. My husband and family are such a wonderful blessing to me. I know that I will never have to part from them. We will live again. Christ broke the band of death with his infinite atonement. I will see my husband, future children and family again, this knowledge brings me joy without end. I know the Joseph Smith at the young age of 14 say God the Father and his Son.He restored the true church upon this earth. God loves us so much that he communicates with us through his messengers to direct and guide us in these latter days. He wants us to come home to him. The Book of Mormon is another testimony of Christ. Never has a more powerful, and inspired book be written. I have felt the power and love of God through reading this book. I love this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I believe that being a light, example and representative of this church is important because this Gospel brings me joy. I attend Brigham Young University, which is a private college institution run by the LDS church. To attend BYU I have signed and follow a honor code, which is a declaration that I will follow the high standards of our church. Some things the honor code includes is avoiding alchol and harmful substances, dressing modestly, and maintaining sexual purity. These standards are not only for me to follow while I am at school, but standards that I will continue to follow throughout the rest of my life. My husband and I also teach the 14 to 15 year old Sunday School class in our family ward each Sunday. During Sunday School we teach the principles and doctrine of our faith to the 14 and 15 year old youth. We also encourage the youth to follow these teachings and become leaders and representative of our church by understanding their important role in the Gospel.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is to not replace the bible, but to add to what the bible teaches us. In the Book of Mormon we read and witness the accounts of God's children in America. We believe this book to be the Word of God and was written to guide us through these latter-days. The Book of Mormon teaches us about the mission that God has for his children and testifies and glorifies Christ. I know that if you read this book and pray with a sincere heart you will know that this book is true for yourself through the power and gift of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
