Hi I'm Britany

I'm from Arkansas and enjoy being part of my school's band, flag line, and softball team.

About Me

I'm currently a sophomore in a school that graduates around 60 people a year. I am in the school band, where I play the alto saxophone, am on the flag line and am on our softball team. During the summer, I usually participate in swim team. I am the only Mormon at my school, but love going to church and being with the other Mormons that live around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to have been born into this church. Living in Arkansas has definitely tested my testimony, though. Most people that live around me don't have the same moral standards as members of this church, and you can tell it just by watching them. It has been really hard to find people that won't try to make me lower my standards, but when they do, I turn to the scriptures. I love reading all of the stories and believe that all of them are true.

How I live my faith

I try to share the gospel with everybody I meet. Living in the Bible Belt, religion gets brought up quite often so it's really easy to share what we believe in. I fill in as the chorister for my branch on the Sundays that ours isn't there. I also help in many community service projects around my town.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No. Some Mormons (commanded by God) practiced polygamy when it was still legal long ago, but it has been outlawed and we believe in honoring the law of the land. Show more Show less
