Hi I'm Kyrsti Anderson

I'm from Utah. I'm a dancer and a guitar player. I'm currently serving as a mission in Raleigh North Carolina, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I grew up in Utah. I've been dancing since I was 3 years old and I took up guitar about a year ago. I've always been a member of the LDS church, but my family wasn't very active. When my brother went on a mission it inspired me to get more involved as well. I ended up at Brigham Young University where my testimony grew immensely. I finally learned for myself that this truly is Christ's church restored once again to the earth and it changed my whole outlook on life. I've gained so much direction, happiness and peace since then. Being a member of this church has blessed my life in so many ways. I really can't imagine not having a knowledge of Christ's gospel which is what inspired me to serve a mission. I wanted to share what I have with others! :) I was called to serve in the Raleigh North Carolina Mission and it's the best decision I've ever made! Seeing the joy that comes into their lives when they find the truth is the best feeling in the world. I love this gospel and I'm so grateful for this incredible opportunity I have to share it with others! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is God's church restored to the earth. Being a Mormon has helped me get through all of my trials in life. It doesn't mean that I don't have opposition, but it's provided a way for me to have comfort and strength when I'm struggling. The LDS church has helped me understand what my purpose is on earth. It's shown me why I'm here, where I came from, and where I am going. It's helped me understand that God loves me and that he is always there for me. He is our loving and merciful Father in Heaven and He is always there for us; all we have to do is turn to Him. He has also sent His only begotten son to be our Savior because He loves us so much. It's so comforting to know that Jesus Christ not only suffered for my sins so that I could repent and be forgiven, but he also understands everything I've ever been through and he is there to help me through it. It has been such a blessing to come to know the Savior better as I've read the Book of Mormon, prayed, and attended church. I have become so much closer to the Lord the more I've immersed myself into this religion. Being a member of this church is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It has brought so much peace and guidance in my life. The LDS church has blessed my life in countless ways and I know I wouldn't be who I am today without it. I love this gospel and I'm so grateful to be a Mormon! :)

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ is my life. My faith determines everything I do. It influences all of my decisions, it strengthens me when I'm going through a trial, and it gives me the hope and motivation I need to always keep moving forward. My faith in the savior helps me to always strive to be a better person. It encourages me to improve not only the quality of my own life, but the lives of everyone around me. It brings me so much joy and it motivates me to help others find happiness as well. My faith gives me direction and a purpose in everything I do. I don't know where I would be without my faith because it helps me in every aspect of my life. I always strive to show my faith in my actions and to lead by example. I live my faith by trying to treat others the way Christ would so that I can lead them to Him. :)

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kyrsti Anderson
We can come to know our Father in Heaven just like we come to know anyone else in life. Talk to him. :) He loves each one of us and he wants to hear from us! If you want to develop a stronger relationship with God, or if you simply want to know if he is there, pray and find out for yourself. I promise that he'll answer you! Show more Show less
