Hi I'm Sosefina Matuauto

Born and raised in Salt Lake, Utah. I'm the oldest of three kids. Come from a Samoan Family. Love Sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a very out going, friendly person! One day I want to travel the world, love seeing and learning about other cultures. I really enjoy being around family and friends; they are truly my support system.I love sports! particularly basketball! I enjoy watching, rugby, football, baseball, soccer; I'm a huge sports fan! I'm not married, enjoying my single life. I'm the oldest of three kids. I'm one of the first college grads in my family; majored in geography.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel. Both my parents are converts coming from Samoa. Through out my life from the time I was very little (toddler age) through my youth years and even up until now my young adult life, my parents and church leaders have taught us to be more like Christ; have Christ-llike attributes and the gospel principles and doctrines that come with it. Although I was taught by my goodly parents and great leaders, especially the time I was in the youth, I wasn't really receptive to it, it went in one ear & out the other. I've made decisions in my life that Im not proud of. The turning point for me was when I visited the Brigham City Temple open house last year (2012) where it was open to the public for a time being before the dedication. I felt something inside me while in that temple, I've never felt it before, that feeling overwhelmed me; it was indescribable and from there I really wanted to know more about temples and more about our Savior. One thing lead to another and I ended up taking up the Book of Mormon challenge at church one Sunday, to read it in 90 days. I've read the BoM once before in my youth years, but my heart & mind wasn't there, I did it because of a challenge that was issued by our church leaders haha and because everyone was doing it, I did it, but not for myself. But this time around, I had the desire, I wanted to learn for myself, I really wanted to know the answer, that for the longest time I struggled to answer (even though my parents and leaders have taught me from the beginning), to that question that I hear everywhere I went from people not of our faith "what is the Book of Mormon?". Although I didn't finish reading the challenge in 90 days, I was determined to finish it anyways, which I did. I want to bear my testimony of the Book of Mormon, and that the BoM is the second testament to the Holy Bible and to Christ. I know it is true, I know god lives & loves each & everyone of us. In the name of our savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy doing service for other people, ranging from large scale, group type, community service such as re-painting tables & benches at a park to more of a personal scale like holding doors for other people and stuff, whether they need it or not, I find so much joy in helping people. I play the piano and organ, and have played in church services, and for the youth and children as well.
