Hi I'm Kaity

Recently called to serve in Long Beach California! I'm a Psychology Major, Concert Fanatic, Beach Bum and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and a junior at BYU Idaho majoring in Psychology. I have been called to serve in the California Long Beach mission and report to the MTC January 25, 2017. I could spend all day on the beach with a good book and that is usually what my school breaks consist of. I love music and it's even better when you get to hear it live. Music speaks to the soul in a really unique way and I'm grateful for those who are musically gifted and share their talents! I love food, travelling, and spending quality time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the living Jesus Christ and a Heavenly Father. I believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow and that his religious establishments follow. If he established prophets in the Old and New testaments, I believe he would give us a living prophet today. I am a Mormon because I believe that we are all able to feel the spirit of God touch our hearts when truth is spoken. Because of that I have been able to pray in faith and read the Book of Mormon and have felt that spirit of truth touch my own heart. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet because the persecutions he suffered sealed his testimony. One does not defend falsehoods with their life. I'm a Mormon because living the church standards and commandments has allowed me to live with a peaceful feeling and allowed me to have a greater capacity to love and help others.

How I live my faith

All my life I have attended church , even during college when there were many late nights I could have easily slept through my meetings. Having a spiritually renewing Sabbath has always been worth more to me than more sleep. I am about to dedicate the next 18 months of my life to serving the people of the Long Beach area and my Savior. Our Heavenly Father needs more messengers of His love and His gospel now more than ever. Being a representative of Jesus Christ means that in an increasingly unkind world, we smile at strangers, we lend helping hands to the less fortunate, and we have love with no conditions. It always begins small, maybe in the home with your siblings or parents, but eventually you will find small opportunities to be Christ-like at all times, in all things, and in all places.
