Hi I'm Amy

I play the piano. I lived in France for a year and a half. I'm studying civil engineering and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I love playing the clarinet and the piano. I love swimming and being out in the sun. I have a big family and I absolutely love it! I have five brothers and one sister. My youngest brother is three and I have loved playing with him and helping him learn. I finished up a year and a half of college before coming out on my mission. I am currently majoring in civil engineering, because I absolutely love math and learning how things work. I hope to one day design bridges and buildings. I love life. I love smiling and laughing with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a part of this Gospel and I am so grateful. I have continually attended church with my family and participated in this Gospel. My parents and leaders have been examples to me of how to live and love this Gospel. When I was in high school, I decided that I was going to really strengthen my testimony and turn to my Savior. I began reading my scriptures and praying more often. I worked on doing those things that I have been taught since primary - reading scriptures, prayer, attending church, going to the temple. As I learned more about this Gospel, I really came to know of the joy that we can receive. I received a testimony of prayer, and scripture study. I came to know more about the Plan. One of my favorite things that I have learned is the knowledge that we have a loving Heavenly Father. He wants us to be happy and He really wants to help us in everything we are doing. As I have lived the Gospel, I have seen so many blessings in my life. I have received help on difficult tests. I have seen happiness in my family because we know we can be together forever. The Lord has blessed me with comfort, love and joy even through the trials. He has helped me to see the blessings that come from trials. Through prayer, I came to know that the Lord wanted me to serve a mission. I was absolutely terrified of serving. I was scared that it would be too hard and that I would miss my family too much. But Heavenly Father helped me to know that He would be with me throughout the whole mission. I am currently serving in the France Paris Mission and I love it. I have seen His hand in my life and throughout my mission. I know He is there constantly helping and blessing me. This Gospel is so true and I love it. I love the joy I have received from being Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve those around me. Currently, I am serving in the France Paris Mission. I hope to be able to share the joy I have received with those I come in contact with. Before coming on a mission, I worked to teach my little brothers simple lessons of this gospel, such as "Wanting to be like Jesus." I continue to share simple lessons with them that will help them live this faith too.
