Hi I'm Chandler

I was born and raised in central Utah. I love riding and building longboards. I like mountain biking, and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since i was a young kid i have liked two things: spending time in the mountains by my house, and building things. In high school i started learning how to longboard and quickly came to love being on a board. A year or so after getting my first board and learning to ride it, i took a wood shop class and began building my own longboards. One for me, then for others who wanted to learn...on and on. Over thirty boards later i still love designing and creating boards. I also was a drummer in High School, I loved the social aspect of drumming and also how learning something new or getting better at something difficult made be feel proud of myself. Music is a part of me now. Along with building I am also a natural mechanic, I am good at fixing things. When i finished High School I went to college and got a job at a bike shop. I knew I liked biking but through working at the shop found a love for the adrenaline rush of mountain biking and now I bike often.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church but I choose to stay involved in it because if i have a question about life or what I am supposed to do there is guidance through the church and its leaders or I can talk to my Heavenly Father for peace and guidance. I am still relatively young, I still have a lot to learn, and learning things can be hard so i want the peace to knowing there are people watching out for me and guiding me in the right direction while I go through life.

How I live my faith

I will be taking a break from my building and biking career to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will be spending the next two years of my life sharing the peace that the gospel has brought into my life because believe it or not no matter how fun building longboards or drumming in the band was in high school, there was still something missing. I was surprised to find out that what made me more happy than completing a cool project or learning something new was realizing that I have a Heavenly Father who is standing beside me directing me where i need to go if i'll only let him.
