Hi I'm Paige

Seamstress. Painter. Missionary. Mormon.

About Me

Hello, I'm Paige! I grew up in Northern Utah in a very active LDS family. I grew up in the church, and I consider myself very lucky to have done so. I am currently a student at a university, pursuing a degree in elementary education. I grew up being creative -- I love to paint, draw, and sew. I read a lot of books in my spare time. I like being happy -- I love being happy! The thing that I love most about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that it is a church of happy people. It is a place where people are happy because they love Jesus Christ and they love helping their fellow man. As a person who is continually looking for peace in a chaotic time in life, this church is one place I can always find it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found happiness and peace here in this church. I continue to be a Mormon because I want everyone to know about the happiness and peace that they can find here, too.

How I live my faith

I think the best way to live my faith is sharing the happiness I find in this church with others. Not necessarily trying to convert people or trying to have church-oriented conversations, but just sharing with them some bit of happy truth. Reminding someone that they are a child of God, in word or deed, is always a lovely start.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Paige
Men and women have different roles in the church. The woman's role isn't to hold the priesthood, but it's for something else. Women in the church have different responsibilities to help those in need. That organization in the church is called the Relief Society and it is one of the largest women's organizations in the world. They have their own offices, presidency and their own board. Yes, the men hold the priesthood, but women in the church don't walk ahead or behind the men, but at their side. They are equal partners in the church. Show more Show less
