Hi I'm Rachel

I have been a Mormon my entire life, I wouldn't have it any other way!

About Me

I am 22, I received my Bachelor's Degree at California Institute of the Arts. Specifically in Sound Design for theatrical environments. I have been a member of the church my whole life. I love the church tuly It is extremely rewarding! I am also the big sister of two of the most amazing younger sisters I could ever ask for! I also just received my mission call to serve in the Ecuador Guayaquil South Mission! I couldn't be more excited to serve!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon, my entire life, It took me a long time, to even understood what that would come to mean. While in college I found my own testimony of the truth. I found a love that I had completely forgotten. As 2 friends and I attended General Conference October 2011, the choir sang "I will go where you want me to go" as they sang I knew... I looked over at my friends and said "I want to go on a mission." That was 3 years ago. My how time flies, One of the two friends is currently serving in the Indianapolis, Indiana Mission. The other is recently married and now a mom. I find now I crave the gospel more then ever! As my time draws closer to leave for the Mexico MIssionary training Center, I realize how excited I am to be Missionary for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in the beautiful country of Ecuador! I know the Lord died for my sins and through the Atonement I was saved by Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God. I know with my whole heart that Families can be together forever if they live by the laws of the Gospel and live worthily to be sealed for time and all eternity. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ as he lived. I know that within the Book of Mormon, Prophets saw our days and they knew what would become of us in these Latter Days. I personally know that the Lord lived and died for me that I may return to live with him some day. I also know that I was personally called to serve in the mission I have been assigned to! I know that there are people there that need to hear this message from me! I know all these things to be true. In the name of my Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have always seen the blessings of the lord throughout my lives and the lives of countless others I surrounded myself with growing up! Now that I am on my own i find myself even closer to Christ then ever before! I truly have found my own testimony of the gospel! . I have been a visiting teacher coordinator while at my previous college. At the moment , I am called to serve as a Ward Missionary. Which means I get to serve my fellow friends in this group of young single adults.I love the calling especially as I continue my own application to become a full-time missionary. I also happen to be one of four Latter Day Saints in the entirety of my college. It's been interesting to live my faith on such a liberal campus and really be an example of my faith at all times, in all things, and in all places. i truly find I can be a great example of love and friendship to those in need. I find myself constantly asking for the Lord's guidance in my life. I have truly learned to lean on him and his teachings. Through him my life has become much more peaceful and I find I am less distracted by the worldly cares and I can truly focus on living the standards to the best of my ability!
