Hi I'm Callie

I'm a student studying psychology. I taught English in schools in India and I served a mission in the Philippines. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student with bigger dreams than I can handle. In high school, I went on a humanitarian trip to India to teach English in schools and fell in love with serving people in that way. I am currently working on achieving my goal of eventually working for a non-profit organization and hopefully making a difference in the lives of others. I also had the opportunity to serve an LDS mission in the Philippines Angeles Mission, where I grew to love the Philippines, the culture, and the wonderful people.

Why I am a Mormon

Many of my ancestors were among some of the early members of the church and it is something that has always been in my life. Although I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, my loving parents always let us make our own decisions when it came to religious matters. They would encourage us to attend meetings and activities, but it was always ultimately our decision. There came a point that when I was maybe thirteen or fourteen that I really wanted to know the truth for my. I wanted to know if this church was really God's church on the earth and if this was the way I could find happiness in my life. I distinctly remember spending time on my own and praying to know if this was the truth. It's different for everyone, but even at a young age I just felt that God gave me the answer that I wanted and needed. So even though I may have felt outside pressures from family, friends, or just the culture of being raised in Utah, I can confidently say that I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church on the earth and that Jesus Christ Himself is the Head.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith by participating in church activities, visiting and serving other members of the church and helping other members in my area to participate in sharing the gospel with others. Not only do I strive to participate in activities and services, I try to make my beliefs a lifestyle. I like to believe that my faith influences every decision that I make.
