Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a free thinker, an artist, an eternal student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent the last 21 years in Utah with my family. I love learning about anything, but especially religious history and expressing myself through art. I invested a lot of time into my school work growing up and intend on attending university and pursuing my education for the rest of my life. I worked as a dental assistant which was so much fun before I decided to serve a full-time mission for my God!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but I did not begin to believe until I was 14. Even then, I struggled with many aspects of the doctrine and my real testimony of this gospel didn't develop until I was 18. I am the type of person that wants to learn and understand things in their fullness on my own and not just live off of other people's testimonies or knowledge. It took years of searching other religions and the religion I had been brought up in and many prayers before I understood the path that God had laid before me. Over the last 6 years I have been through many trials and God has never abandoned me. When I was hopeless, He comforted me and inspired me to endure and to overcome things that I thought I never could. He helped me to realize how important I am to Him. I love my Father in Heaven. I love my Savior and Redeemer for the sacrifice that He made for me and for the atonement which has played such a large role in my life. I testify that you can receive forgiveness and strength to forsake any wrong you have done. This life is difficult, but God has provided a way to attain eternal joy. Christ loved us enough to suffer that we might not. I know that Joseph Smith saw and conversed with our Heavenly Father and Savior and that through him, They restored the one true gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and His divinity. Don't be afraid to ask questions and search for the truth. God loves questions! Ask Him. He's ready to answer you! That's why I'm a Mormon. I asked. I listened. I got my answer- then I acted.

How I live my faith

I am a Returned Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been blessed throughout the last few years to serve as a music chorister for our children's program as well as a teacher for the women's organization, the Relief Society. Faith is all about action, which is what led me to serve a mission in Indiana. I didn't want to serve a mission, but I knew that I needed to find out what God's will was and so I asked. He had very different plans than I did and I decided I had better let Him have His way. After all, when had He ever asked me to do something that I wasn't capable of and that wouldn't benefit me or others in some way? I went to Indiana in November of 2013 and returned home, October 2014. I wasn't able to serve the full 18 months that most sisters do, but God has revealed to me that the ten and a half months that I served were the exact amount of time that He needed me in Indiana. I can never forget how wonderful my mission was and what it felt like to truly be an instrument in the hands of the Lord and bring my brothers and sisters home. I do not know all that God has in store for me now, but I do know that He has a plan and it is infinitely perfect. I need only continue to exercise my faith and follow His direction to go after my dreams and share the Gospel to all who will listen.
